SIBUR, a leading Russian petrochemical company, is advancing its efforts to substitute natural rubber in tires with synthetic alternatives. The company is collaborating with tire manufacturers to finalize tests of experimental tires made using synthetic isoprene rubber, with results expected in 2025.

Launched in May 2022, the PERSEUS project focuses on creating innovative asphalt mixtures to reduce road traffic noise while incorporating recycled tire materials. The project, funded by CDTI, is led by CAMPEZO with contributions from ASFALTIA, MOEVE, and SIGNUS, and support from TECNALIA.
