The Tire Industry Project (TIP), a voluntary CEO-driven initiative representing ten of the largest tire manufacturers globally, has published its latest KPI report, highlighting the measurable progress in sustainability made by member companies between 2021 and 2024.

On October 27, 2025, The European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers’ Association (ETRMA) launched its new identity, Tyres Europe, reflecting a clear, tyre-focused mandate to promote a competitive and innovative European Tyre Manufacturing industry, advancing a safe, smart and sustainable mobility. The Association’s Board has also elected Livio Magni (Pirelli) as President and Paolo Pompei (Nokian Tyres) as Vice-President for a two-year mandate.

Rather than focusing on the past, the book showcases what can be achieved with recycled tire materials, illustrating their diverse applications in an entirely new format. Designed as a visually engaging coffee table book, it presents fresh perspectives and unexpected uses for recycled rubber, sparking curiosity and inspiration.

Jon Visaisouk, CEO of Tyromer, appeared on Episode 79 of The Tyre Recycling Podcast, recorded live at the Round Trip Tyre and Conveyor Belt Recycling Summit in Melbourne. Tyromer employs a proprietary devulcanization process to convert crumb rubber into high-value material for new rubber manufacturing. During the interview, Visaisouk discussed the company's transition following the passing of founder Sam Visaisouk, operational progress at Tyromer's European facility in Arnhem, Netherlands, and increasing adoption of devulcanized rubber products, particularly from Tyromer India's production operations.

According to Tyre Trade News, the initiative is designed to bring long-missing clarity to the tire recycling process by ensuring each tire’s journey—from removal to processing—is fully documented and verifiable.

CM Shredders, a leading manufacturer of advanced tire recycling systems, proudly announces the successful commissioning of a high-capacity Tire-Derived Aggregate (TDA) shredding system for EVIROPOL in Tahiti, the crown jewel of French Polynesia. This milestone marks a significant environmental achievement for the island nation—transforming end-of-life tires from a critical waste problem into valuable resources for sustainable development.

Cveta Majtanovic, Chief Sustainability Officer of Rubber Conversion Srl, a Verona-based company specializing in end-of-life rubber recycling, has been selected for the 2025 Meaningful Business 100 (MB100). The global award program recognizes leaders combining business profitability with social and environmental impact.

Continental is integrating even more renewable and recycled materials into its tire production. Committed to the principles of the circular economy, the tire manufacturer is also motivating its suppliers to increasingly develop and provide sustainable materials to manufacture tires. While Continental's share of renewable and recycled materials in tire production averaged 26 percent in 2024, the company's goal is to increase this figure to at least 40 percent within the next five years.

ARESOL Renovables, a Spanish renewable energy and circular economy group, has entered into a definitive agreement with Ecolomondo Corporation (TSXV: ECM) (OTC: ECLMF) to establish "Ecolomondo EU," a European subsidiary headquartered in Spain. The partnership will oversee the development of at least four tire pyrolysis plants utilizing Ecolomondo's Thermal Decomposition Process (TDP) technology across the European Union.
