Bolder Industries gets incentives for Terre Haute plant

Bolder Industries – an American renowned tire pyrolysis operator and recovered carbon black producer – has been granted two tax abatements by the Terre Haute City Council for setting up a new pyrolysis plant in the city. Bolder Industries Inc. is investing $40 million in the former Pyrolyx USA plant to start a used tire recycling operation.

On April 15, SK Energy and SK Networks announced that they will collaborate with Daeho Industries, Korea's leading retread tyre manufacturer, to develop a low-carbon circular system that utilizes scrap tyres. According to the agreement, the three parties will analyze the viability of the pyrolysis process that produces recovered carbon black and pyrolysis oil, as well as the measures to strengthen the collection and delivery system of waste tyres in South Korea.

Rubber Conversion, an Italian rubber recycler, has closed a €2.5 million fund raising round to expand manufacturing capacity and enter new markets. Rubber Conversion, based in Verona, Italy, has a patented industrial technology for rubber devulcanization and produces devulcanized 'high-quality' rubber mixtures that are "free of dangerous chemicals and have a low environmental impact."
