Wastefront, a Norwegian company, is advancing efforts to convert end-of-life tires into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) with a new commercial plant in Sunderland, UK. The facility aims to produce biofuel that can be used in aviation without relying on imports, positioning Wastefront as a key player in the UK's SAF industry.

This week, Tyrecycle's recycling facility in East Rockingham, located 40 kilometers south of Perth, received its first delivery of off-the-road (OTR) tyres from Alcoa’s mining operations.

Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) has appointed Fredrik Aaben as new CFO. Fredrik Aaben joins Enviro from his role of Head of Corporate Finance at Volvo Cars, where he has a long-standing background of managerial positions in finance, M&A and strategy. Aaben will take up his position in November 2024 and will work in parallel with the current interim CFO Christian Bergaust for a transitional period.
