Budapest, Hungary – November 3, 2025NE-TECH Group, a leading innovator in sustainable tire recycling technologies, proudly announces the completion of the pyrolysis section of its showcase facility designed in partnership with oil giant MOL as a main shareholder in the Karcag plant. This paves the way for the last phase of the project, the rCB finishing line, to be completed in collaboration with Hosokawa. The turnkey project is designed to process 10,000 tons of end-of-life tires (ELT) annually in Phase I and is on track for completion and start-up in January 2026.

The Karcag plant represents NE-TECH’s next-generation sustainable pyrolysis technology, centered on the company’s proprietary Continuously Revolving Charge Cycle (CrCC™) system. This modular, pre-assembled technology enables rapid installation, superior process stability, and unprecedented energy efficiency. As illustrated in the construction visuals, the CrCC modules arrive pre-engineered at NE-TECH's manufacturing facility in 40-inch frames, dramatically reducing EPCM time and project costs.

“The Karcag facility embodies nearly two decades of continuous innovation and operational excellence in ELT pyrolysis,” said Viktor Váradi, CEO of NE-TECH Group. “Our modular CrCC™ technology not only accelerates project delivery but also ensures consistent, high-quality output of TPO and rCB with minimal environmental footprint. This milestone confirms our commitment to scalable, sustainable recycling solutions that serve industry and the planet.”

When fully operational, the Karcag site will feature NE-TECH’s hallmark zero-fossil-energy rCB drying system, advanced flue gas treatment that meets and exceeds EU emission standards, and integrated real-time monitoring for 24/7 environmental compliance. The plant will support NE-TECH’s growing network of industrial partners, including collaborations with MOL, BASF, Gunvor, and Carbon Black Kft.

The Karcag site is set to become a model reference for modern, circular tire recycling infrastructure.

About NE-TECH Group

NE-TECH Group, founded in 2005 as New Energy Kft. and in commercial operation since 2007, is an innovative technology group. Its group companies specialize in developing and commercializing solutions for the circular economy. NE-TECH’s primary mission is to turn formerly untreatable polymer-based and organic waste streams into valuable raw materials for the petrochemical industry, thus addressing the unsustainable extraction of natural resources in an economically viable manner. NE-TECH has developed and commercialized a proprietary technology that can turn waste tires back to secondary raw materials to support circular economy strategies of its partners and customers. It also has two decades of operational experience in running a pyrolysis plant by group member New Energy. Further information about NE-TECH at www.ne-tech.eu
